ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ secures the rights to the NRJ brand in Norway
Oslo/Hamburg, November 18, 2024 – ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥, Norway's leading media house for audio media, has secured the rights to NRJ from the French media group NRJ Group. The agreement means that ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ will now be able to offer NRJ as part of its radio portfolio in Norway, further strengthening the company's position as a leader in the audio market.
NRJ, which is known for offering hit music and entertainment aimed at a young and music-interested audience, has established itself as one of the most popular brands in radio internationally. NRJ will be an attractive addition to ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥'s existing radio channels.
ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ as preferred partner
"Several years of good cooperation with ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ in Sweden and Finland now gives us a comprehensive partnership with the largest commercial radio player in the Nordic region", says Richard Mazeret, CEO International Operations, NRJ Group.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us and proof that ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ is a preferred partner in radio and audio media, not only in Norway, but throughout the Nordic region", says Jim Receveur, CEO of ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ Norway.
"We look forward to developing and continuing NRJ in Norway and offering listeners an even stronger selection of music and entertainment", says editor-in-chief of ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥, Kristoffer Vangen.
Important for young adults
With this agreement, ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ positions itself even stronger in the battle for young adult listeners, a target group that is highly sought after among advertisers. ÆÞÓÑÖ±²¥ will continue NRJ's profile and music format, as listeners know and like.
